Clare Lin Elliott turned to photography after leaving her life as a touring performer with a successful world-touring physical theatre show.
Influenced by dance and experimental film photography from her early years at St Martins School of Art and Design, London, she set about learning the ropes of digital photography. She started shooting anything and everything. The familiar to the exotic. She travelled extensively, from Zambia to New York to Ladakh and beyond. She shot places, bands, theatre shows, portraits, politicians, events.
Many years on she still finds herself gravitating towards physicality, people and creating portraits of them. Understanding who a person is through a lens. Moving or posed, still or stuttering. Conscious or candid.
After all, we are always changing.
A different version everyday.
